Yesterday, the European Economic and Social Committee adopted the EU Blue Deal declaration, which calls on EU institutions and Member States to make water policy and water infrastructure an EU political priority during the next cycle (2024-29).
The declaration outlines 15 core principles and 21 urgent water actions, including:
- Secure access to water;
- Build resilient water infrastructure;
- An ambitious financing plan;
- Blue Diplomacy.
